Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard
About
Bowstring Pizza and Brewyard sits on Wake Forest Road in Raleigh, in a historic building that has been restored. It is part neighborhood bar, part event space and part music venue, and the three sides of it tend to run at once.
The stage is the center of the place. Touring bands and tribute acts play through the year, and the building was fitted out with concerts in mind, so the sound and the sightlines hold up on a full night. The schedule leans toward rock, including full-album shows and long-running tribute acts.
What to know
- The covered stage measures 28 by 20 feet and stands four feet high.
- PA and lighting are built into the house, so visiting acts can plug straight in.
- Bookings have included the Australian band Jet and the Led Zeppelin tribute act Zoso.
- Tickets for the bigger shows are sold online ahead of the date.
- The room can also be hired as an event space for private bookings.
