Western Wake Farmers Market

About

The Western Wake Farmers Market sets up at Town Hall Drive in Morrisville, and it has been connecting western Wake County with local growers since 2009. It runs on Saturdays year round, under the motto We Nourish Community.

A group of Cary moms started it, wanting better food for their own families, and it is still run by an all-volunteer board of local shoppers and residents. The wider goal is a local food system that holds up, and a marketplace where small producers can earn a decent living.

What to know

  • The market is a registered 501(c)(3) nonprofit.
  • It partnered with the Town of Morrisville in September 2013.
  • The leadership team was restructured in 2023 after the covid years.
  • That change was meant to open up community engagement and vendor participation.
