Tarheel Wood Treating has sold outdoor wood building products from Chapel Hill Road in Morrisville since 1956. It manufactures number one pressure treated wood and sells it to builders and homeowners across the Raleigh, Durham, Chapel Hill, and RTP area, and it calls itself the Triangle’s top source for outdoor wood.
After 68 years the claim has some weight behind it. The Gallup family runs the place, and customers stay a long time: one has been buying treated wood here since 1985, and another found the company while restoring a hundred-year-old house.
