Science Safari
About
Science Safari is a science toy store on Kildaire Farm Road in Cary, and it has been in the same spot for close to 35 years. The stock is built around the idea that play is where knowledge starts and learning is built.
Becky and Jon Blair opened the store in 1990. They eventually sold it to Sean, who had managed it for them from the beginning and has spent more than 25 years in toy stores. That is a long stretch of continuity for a small shop.
What to know
- The store runs science classes for children.
- Birthday parties can be booked at the store.
- The owner’s background is in child development through play and discovery.
- It is a local, independent shop and not part of a chain.
