Item America, LLC

item America is the United States arm of item Industrietechnik, with an office on Collington Drive in Cary. The company makes modular aluminum profiles and the connection hardware that goes with them, plus linear guides, workplace systems, stairs, and platforms.

The parent company is family-run and has been building these systems since 1976, when two founders started it in a small workshop in Solingen, Germany. The idea then was to make mechanical engineering simpler, more flexible, and more efficient, and the modular approach still follows from it.
