Cary MacGregor Rotary Club
About
The Cary MacGregor Rotary Club brings together local business and professional people who meet on Wednesdays at MacGregor Downs Country Club. Meetings mix time with community and business leaders with the planning of service projects.
Those projects run local, regional, and international, and the club works with other organizations to carry them out. It has been around long enough to have a history of its own, including a tenth anniversary marked in 2000 and 2001 and a long line of presidents starting with Sandy McIver, the club’s first.
What to know
- The club promotes the Paul Harris award and gives generously to the Rotary International Foundation.
- Proceeds from Triangle Oktoberfest, which the club supports, go to charity.
- Wheels4Hope is one of the causes the club has backed, providing transportation in Wake County.
- Members are sent to Rotary’s president-elect training, known as PETS.
