More than 800 Google reviewers have rated their experience with Saving Grace Animals for Adoption, and the average — 4.6 stars — undersells the tone of what they write: people describing the day they brought home their forever pet as one of the best of their lives.

The farm model

The Wake Forest nonprofit rescues, rehabilitates, and rehomes dogs from across the Triangle, and it does so from a setting most shelters can't offer: a working farm environment that keeps dogs decompressed, socialized, and closer to their actual personalities — which makes for honest matches and lasting adoptions.

The Host Program

The organization's most distinctive idea is its Host Program, which lets community members temporarily host adoptable dogs — part foster, part field trip, entirely effective at getting dogs seen and homes tested. Volunteers consistently name it as the thing that hooked them.

Adopting, volunteering, hosting, donating — every door into Saving Grace helps a dog out the other side. Details are on the directory listing.
