Shuckers Oyster Bar & Grill has been on Rogers Road in the Heritage part of Wake Forest for 15 years, and the restaurant is older than that. It had already been running 23 years when the current owners bought it, and they call it an icon of Wake Forest and the Triangle.
The menu is wider than the name suggests. Along with oysters and seafood there are steaks, burgers, sandwiches, salads and wraps, and the recipes belong to the restaurant, down to the seasoning. The owners describe it as a family destination for oysters and seafood.
