Stay at Home Senior Care becomes Amivie in Wake Forest
Stay at Home Senior Care, the home care office at 2014 S. Main St., Suite 610, in Wake Forest, now operates under the name Amivie Wake Forest. The Wake Forest Area Chamber of Commerce will hold a ribbon cutting for the new name on Wednesday, November 4, 2026, from noon to 1 p.m., with the ribbon cut shortly after noon.
The chamber’s event page describes the event as a celebration of “a fantastic rebrand of Stay at Home Senior Care to Amivie.” Amivie’s own location finder already lists the South Main Street office as Amivie Wake Forest, one of 36 Amivie offices it shows in North Carolina. The chamber page lists Addison Wollett as the contact for the event.
Hours, services and payment at the Wake Forest office
Amivie runs two kinds of offices: home care offices and offices that support people with intellectual and developmental disabilities, which the company calls I/DD support. The Wake Forest office is listed as a home care office. Its location page gives these details:
- The office is at 2014 S. Main St., Suite 610, Wake Forest, NC 27587.
- Office hours are 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m., Monday through Friday.
- The office is closed on Saturday and Sunday.
- The phone number is (919) 556-3706.
- The services listed are personal care, homemaker services, respite care, veteran services and private duty care.
The page lists eight payment sources: Medicaid through the CAP and PCS programs, managed care insurance plans, the Veterans’ Administration, the Area Agency on Aging, PACE, long-term care insurance, private pay and trusts. It describes a four-step start to care: a phone call or online form, an in-home visit, matching with a caregiver, and then the start of care.
The page carries a CHAP accreditation logo, an Age-Friendly Care At Home seal and a dementia-friendly logo. It says the company provides “home care services in North Carolina” but does not list the towns or counties the Wake Forest office covers, and it does not show a state license number. It names no office manager. Five client reviews from North Carolina appear on the page, including one that reads, “The office does a good job coordinating care.”
What the record shows about the change
Neither the chamber nor Amivie says when Stay at Home Senior Care opened in Wake Forest, who owned it, or who runs the office now. Amivie’s website also does not say whether the company bought the agency or how it joined. The company’s About page shows a “Stay Home” logo in a section titled “The Amivie Community,” alongside logos of other agencies now under the Amivie name.
One of those logos belongs to Fosterbridge, an Ohio Medicaid-certified in-home care provider for older people. Deal adviser Benchmark International announced on September 26, 2025, that it had helped arrange Amivie’s purchase of Fosterbridge. The same announcement identified Amivie as the company formerly known as Community Based Care, and several agency logos on Amivie’s About page still carry a “CBC” prefix, including CBC Lindley and CBC Pinnacle.
Amivie runs its company from Morrisville
Amivie’s corporate office is at 4000 Paramount Pkwy., Suite 100, in Morrisville. The company’s page for that office says it supports Amivie’s home care and I/DD agencies across the country. The company does not name a parent company or investors on its website.
Michael Kotzen is president and chief executive officer. His company biography says he took the role in 2017 and that Amivie now operates in six states and serves more than 6,000 people. He was previously chief operating officer at Virtua Health System. Chief Operating Officer Michael Hofmeister’s biography says he “has led more than 25 acquisitions and their integration.”
The company gives different counts of its size in different places:
- Its home page says it has more than 120 locations, more than 6,000 caregivers and 5 million care hours a year.
- The home page also says clients average 35 care hours a week.
- Its location finder lists 64 offices in five states: 36 in North Carolina, 16 in Ohio, six in Virginia, four in Minnesota and two in Rhode Island.
- A page inviting agency owners to sell or partner says Amivie has “over 60 locations.”
The home page also lists accreditations from CARF and CHAP. Other Amivie offices near Wake Forest include an I/DD support office at 6531 Meridien Dr., Suite 103, in Raleigh, an I/DD support office on Weston Parkway in Cary and a home care office at 856 Timber Dr. in Garner.
