Paschal Golf Club

About

Paschal Golf Club is a public course in historic downtown Wake Forest, across from Wake Forest High School on Stadium Drive. It opened in 1917 as the college course for Wake Forest College and has been played ever since.

Its best-known student golfer was Arnold Palmer, who played here before becoming one of the game’s living legends, and that is where the slogan Where Legends Begin comes from. The fairways roll gently, the course stays open year-round, and the whole thing sits close enough to downtown to walk to.

What to know

  • Walk-ins are welcome, though tee times are recommended for weekends and holidays.
  • Memberships are offered for regular players.
  • Organized leagues run at the club through the year.
  • Daily rates are published for anyone playing a single round.
