About
Magnificent Concessions is a treat and dessert truck working out of Wendell, and it sets up at the Wendell Community Center on West Third Street. Shaunetta and Charlie Burk run it, and they started in 2018 with a single Italian ice cart and a plan.
The menu is built around handcrafted sweets: candy apples in several varieties, hand-spun sugar, deep fried s’mores and apple pie fries. The spun sugar is meant to bring back memories. Fresh squeezed orangeade, lightly sweetened, is there for anyone who wants something cold to go with all of it.
What to know
- Candy apples start at $8, and hand-spun sugar starts at $6.
- Yum-Yum Pies are mini deep fried turnovers filled with fruit.
- Apple pie fries are fresh apples, sliced, battered, fried and tossed in cinnamon sugar.
- The deep fried s’more is packed into a ball, battered and drizzled with chocolate.
- The Burks have been doing things together for more than twenty years.
