Best lawn care companies in Wake Forest: 10 crews to know
On paper, Wake Forest has no shortage of lawn crews: BBB returns 411 lawn-maintenance results nearby, and HomeAdvisor lists dozens more that say they serve the town. The field thins fast once a company needs a working website with a 2026 date and at least one credential a homeowner can check. Most small crews here are home-based, list no street address and publish no prices.
So the list widened to Rolesville and northeast Raleigh, and every pick from outside town names Wake Forest in its own service area. Four are based in Wake Forest, including On The Block Lawn Care, the only one of those that publishes prices. JT's Landscaping & Lawn Care in Rolesville has held BBB accreditation since 2005. Weed Man and Virginia Green bring in a franchise and a regional chain.
Our read: a printed pesticide license number is the fastest credential to check, and only a few companies here show one.
How we chose
We started with companies based in Wake Forest, then added Rolesville and northeast Raleigh (ZIP 27616) only where the company's own site names Wake Forest in its service area. Each pick needed a 2026 signal: a dated page, a press release or a license running through 2026. Facts come from each company's own site first, then BBB; awards counted only when named and dated.
We cut companies with no 2026 signal (Ivey League Landscapes and Crownover Green among them), crews in Knightdale and Durham as too far, and a referral platform. The list allows one franchise, so a second Weed Man office stayed off. Entries are alphabetical, not ranked, and prices were last checked in October 2026. The picks rest on checkable facts; we have not hired them.
Capstone Landscapes
Owner Rick Linder runs Capstone Landscapes out of Rolesville, with Wake Forest, Raleigh and North Raleigh on its service list and Youngsville, Wendell, Zebulon, Knightdale and Garner added in its FAQ. Lawn maintenance comes in year-round, weekly or seasonal packages, or a la carte. The treatment side covers fertilization, weed and moss control, lime, and fungicide and insecticide applications. Crews also start up, shut down and repair irrigation, and the company builds patios, retaining walls and drainage and lays sod.
Why we chose them
- Its own site identifies owner Rick Linder as a licensed landscape contractor but prints no license number.
- Tenure is unconfirmed, since the site claims both 10-plus years serving Wake Forest and 25-plus years in business.
- Fungicide and insecticide work is on the menu, yet no pesticide license number appears on its site.
- Estimates and consultations are free, per its own site.
- No dated 2026 post from the company itself turned up, so call or use the quote form first.
