Go Wake Forest
About
Go Wake Forest is the town’s on-demand public transportation service, run by the Town of Wake Forest transportation department. Instead of waiting at a stop on a fixed route, riders request a trip and get picked up near their door, much the way Uber and Lyft work.
The town launched it on October 1, 2024 as a pilot covering a defined service zone across Wake Forest. For people without a car, it offers a way to reach shops, appointments and other parts of town on short notice.
What to know
- It replaced the Wake Forest Loop fixed route bus system in October 2024.
- The town publishes a service zone map along with rider instructions.
- Trips became a paid ride on February 1, 2026.
- A streamlined, mobile-friendly rider page is kept for people already out and about.
- The town’s complimentary ADA paratransit service was suspended when the pilot began.
