Gatehouse Tavern is an American tavern and gastropub in Gateway Commons off Capital Boulevard in Wake Forest, open since 2010. The sign reads Food, Spirits, Sports and More, which about covers it: grass-fed beef burgers, microbrews and a room set up for watching a game.
Vintage accents give the room some character, and the tavern works as well for a casual dinner as for an afternoon watching sports. Daily specials run through the week. There are separate lunch and brunch menus, and events turn up on the calendar regularly.
