Best restaurants in Rolesville: Main Street to Cobblestone

Rolesville sits just southeast of Wake Forest and northeast of Raleigh, and its sit-down restaurant field is small but real. It falls into two clusters. The older strip centers on S. Main Street and Southtown Circle hold the long-running places, Los Tres Magueyes and Rolesville Diner among them. The new Cobblestone Village development at Main and Young streets is where the newcomers are landing, led by Trattoria Franko, which opened in June 2026. Wallbrook, at the south end of Main, has only chains.

More is on the way. El Jefe Modern Mex and Sushi Nami were still marked coming soon on the town's downtown page, and WRAL still called Lime & Lemon Indian Grill & Bar upcoming on July 24, 2026. Use this list for the eight places that showed a sign of being open in early October 2026, and read each entry's caveats before driving over, since a few of them have thin recent signals.

How we chose

Every pick sits inside Rolesville. Eight in-town restaurants cleared the bar, so we did not widen to neighboring towns. Each needed a sign of being open as of October 2026: its own site, a reservation platform, the town's downtown page or a dated 2026 roundup. Addresses, menus and prices came from the business's own site wherever one exists. None of these places carries a named, dated award, so no awards are cited.

We left out the chains at Wallbrook, bars without kitchens, coffee shops, places that closed or were replaced, and Cobblestone Village tenants that have not opened. Entries are listed alphabetically, not ranked. Hours and prices were last checked in October 2026; call ahead for anything an entry marks as unconfirmed.

Bites on Main

Made-to-order breakfast and lunch come off the counter at this Southtown Circle shop, which took over the former Sarge's space. Ciabatta sandwiches are the core of the menu, and Bites on Main's own site claims "the best ciabatta sandwiches in town." Mornings run to a pancake stack and stuffed French toast, while lunch adds the 8-inch Chicken Bacon Stack on ciabatta and a Southwest steak salad.

Why we chose them

  • It opens daily at 7 a.m. and closes at 3 p.m., so there is no dinner service.
  • Fresh orangeade, juices and smoothies are on the drink list, per its own site.
  • A June 2026 roundup of Rolesville restaurants calls it one of the newer spots in town.
  • Prices are not posted on its homepage, so check the counter menu before ordering.

Address: Rolesville — 400 Southtown Cir.

Captain John's Seafood

John F. Hankins Jr. started this Black-owned seafood business as a food truck in June 2019, and the Southtown Circle storefront, the former Off the Hook Seafood space, is its first permanent home. The kitchen fries seafood platters and shrimp with its own special seasonings and blends, and there is patio seating plus takeout. It has no website, and the newest dated sign of life is a June 2026 roundup, so call before driving over.

Why we chose them

  • It is closed Mondays, according to its Visit Raleigh listing.
  • Saturday service starts at 4 p.m., later than the 11 a.m. start on other open days.
  • The Visit Raleigh listing that carries these hours has no date, so treat them as unconfirmed.
  • No priced menu was found online, so ask about prices when ordering.

Address: Rolesville — 308 Southtown Cir.

Granchio

Italian pasta and Cajun-style seafood boils share one menu at this family-owned spot on Rogers Road by the Food Lion center, near the post office. The Rolesville Chamber describes it as a fresh seafood and pasta restaurant, and customer reviews mention boils with shrimp, snow crab, crawfish or lobster tails, plus fettuccine Alfredo, calamari and zucchini blossoms. Granchio has no website, and only Restaurantji gives a street number, so confirm the location by phone.

Why we chose them

  • It is closed Mondays, according to both the Chamber page and Restaurantji.
  • Tuesday through Saturday opening times conflict, 11 a.m. on the Chamber page and 4 p.m. on Restaurantji, so call first.
  • Dish details come from customer reviews only, and no prices are published anywhere.
  • It is a current Rolesville Chamber member, though no dated 2026 post from the restaurant turned up.
  • Its in-town location rests on the Chamber's description and has not been checked against a town map.

Address: Rolesville — 6210 Rogers Rd.

Los Tres Magueyes

By its own account, this Mexican restaurant has served Rolesville for more than 20 years, which makes it the longest-running sit-down spot in town. It shares a S. Main Street strip with Rolesville Diner and runs a menu of fajitas, enchiladas and grilled steak, chicken and fish plates. Several unrelated or loosely related North Carolina restaurants use the Los Tres Magueyes name, so this entry covers the locally owned Rolesville location only.

Why we chose them

  • Steak à la Tampiqueña and Pescado à la Grill each cost $13.99 on the restaurant's site.
  • Fish fajitas are listed at $15.50, and Enchiladas Cancún at $12.99.
  • A Sunday "Pick 2" combo runs $9.99, per the restaurant's own site.
  • Its own site describes the restaurant as locally owned and operated.
  • The kitchen is open seven days a week, including Sunday from 11:30 a.m.

Address: Rolesville — 411 S. Main St.

Mezcalito Grill & Tequila Bar

Cobblestone Village's full-service Mexican option belongs to an NC-born Tex-Mex group that first opened in Beaufort in 2019, according to What Now. The menu runs to fajitas, enchiladas, carnitas and tacos, with margaritas from the tequila bar. It is a regional chain, and a priced Rolesville menu is not posted online, so check prices at the table. The Town of Rolesville's downtown page lists it among the open tenants.

Why we chose them

  • Its lease was announced in October 2024, and What Now reported it was not yet open on October 3, 2025.
  • The exact opening date could not be confirmed from any source.
  • The group lists nine locations on its own site, Rolesville among them.
  • What Now gave 113 Rolesville Center Rd. as the address; the chain's own site gives Bluestone Crossing Road.

Address: Rolesville — 130 Bluestone Crossing Rd.

Pie-Zano's Pizzeria

Family-owned and set on Southtown Circle just off S. Main Street, this pizzeria makes Jersey-style pizza that Visit Raleigh describes as coming "with a Sicilian flair." Named pies include The Soprano and The Goodfella, the second topped with grilled eggplant, and third-party pages also mention hand-tossed pies and calzones. Two third-party pages list the shop at 405 S. Main St., but its own page and Visit Raleigh both give Southtown Circle, which is the address used here.

Why we chose them

  • The shop is closed Sundays and federal holidays, according to its own page.
  • Reservations are not taken, and its own page lists outdoor seating.
  • It was operating by February 2024 and appears in the 2023 Visit Raleigh guide.
  • No dated 2026 post from the pizzeria itself turned up, so call before driving over.

Address: Rolesville — 252 Southtown Cir.

Rolesville Diner

For a homemade, down-home breakfast or lunch, locals head to this diner in the S. Main Street strip next to Los Tres Magueyes. Visit Raleigh says it has served the area for more than 15 years and calls it "where the locals gather." A third-party roundup mentions scratch hash browns and omelets. The diner has no website, and its 2026 status rests on third-party roundups only, so treat it as likely open and call before going.

Why we chose them

  • It serves breakfast and lunch only, and its current hours could not be confirmed.
  • Takeout is available, according to its Visit Raleigh listing.
  • No dated 2026 post from the diner itself turned up, so call before driving over.
  • A priced menu could not be found online, so expect to see prices only at the counter.

Address: Rolesville — 411 S. Main St., Ste. E

Trattoria Franko

Rolesville's first full-service Italian trattoria opened in June 2026 in Cobblestone Village, the new development at Main Street and Young Street. It comes from the team behind Franko's Italian Steakhouse in Franklinton, and co-owners Justin Bee, Nunzio Scordo and Keith LoGrande built the menu around house-made pasta. Carbonara is $21 and the Sunday Gravy Rigatoni is $26, while Franko's Prime Ribeye tops the list at $59. Pistachio tiramisu closes out the dessert side.

Why we chose them

  • Dinner is the only service, and reservations go through OpenTable.
  • Franko's Famous Meatballs cost $16 and the house-made focaccia is $8, per the restaurant's online menu.
  • Ricotta gnocchi comes in a Parmesan truffle cream, according to the restaurant's own site.
  • OpenTable reviews from late September 2026 note the dining room can get noisy when it is busy.

Address: Rolesville — 205 Basalt Pl.

Prices, hours and opening status last checked October 6, 2026. Call ahead where an entry says to.
