Owl’s Roost Brewery
About
Owl’s Roost Brewery is a small brewery and pizza kitchen on North Main Street in downtown Franklinton. It moved into the town’s historic movie theater building and opened in August 2021, founded by the Kelley family with brewer Walt Sweeney.
Gourmet pizzas carry the menu, with gourmet cheese bread on the side. The beer is brewed in the building, and wine and cocktails are poured too. Seating runs inside, outdoors and on a cigar patio, so it works for a casual dinner with a pint after a walk around downtown.
What to know
- Sundays bring a smoked-wings special from the kitchen.
- Dogs are welcome on the large covered patio.
- House beers have included a Dirty Belgian Blonde and a Love Elixir Raspberry Wheat.
- The brewhouse is a three-barrel system feeding ten-barrel fermenters.
