Mingo Creek Park & Greenway

About

Mingo Creek Park & Greenway is an 8.2-acre town park off Parkside Commons Drive on the west side of Knightdale. Its trail runs from the park down to the Neuse River at Raleigh’s Anderson Point Park.

Walkers and cyclists use it as Knightdale’s link to the Neuse River Greenway, about 30 miles of trail in all once they cross the pedestrian bridge, according to the town. Wooded boardwalk and paved asphalt sections keep the route varied, and the trail system also reaches Knightdale Station Park, the town’s flagship park downtown.

What to know

  • Two half-court basketball courts, a playground and a play lawn sit in the park.
  • Dog owners can use the dog park inside the grounds.
  • The Neuse River Greenway Trail runs 27.5 miles from Falls Lake Dam to the Johnston County line.
  • Volunteers can join the town’s Adopt-A-Trail program.
  • Check Raleigh’s greenway alerts before heading onto the Neuse, since parts have posted closures.
