Environmental Park – Knightdale
About
Environmental Park is a Town of Knightdale park on N. Smithfield Road, next to Town Hall and the East Wake Regional Library. It is an easy stop on the way to or from either building.
Its pond is the draw, with a boardwalk and the town’s public fishing dock. A gravel walking path, benches and public art make it a pleasant place for a short walk, and it sits close enough to both buildings for a break between a library visit and an errand at Town Hall.
What to know
- Fishing at the pond is catch-and-release only.
- Picnic shelters have grills and are first come, first served.
- Dogs must be on leashes no longer than 6 feet.
- Visitors park in the Town Hall or library lots.
- Geocaching is allowed with approval from the parks department.
